Seventh Sunday of Epiphany

“Creation Reclaimed”

Rev. Sarah Van Zetten Bruins will be preaching at Trinity on February 13.
.
“Creation Reclaimed” | For the apostle Paul, Christ’s resurrection is the bedrock of our faith. Christ’s resurrection gives us hope for the resurrection of our own bodies and the reclaiming of all creation in the fullness of time. But how does the resurrection affect our lives here and now in an un-resurrected world? How do we live as resurrection people today with the hope of resurrection yet to come?
1 Corinthians 15:35-38, 42-44, 51-58

Morning Prayer

(Epiphany 7)

God of waking and sleeping,
we give you thanks that you have brought the morning
and awakened us to a new day.
Help us as we move through the events
that will unfold in the next few hours.
May we excel in the work of the Lord,
knowing that in your grace
our labor is not in vain. Amen.

Evening Prayer

(Epiphany 7)

God of all compassion, our rock and our salvation,
for all that we have done today that bears good fruit,
we give you thanks.
For all that we have done today that has missed your purposes,
we ask forgiveness.
As we rest in your grace, we pray,
restore us to your strong foundation,
and assure us of your love.
This we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

As part of your Lenten journey, you are invited to receive daily biblical reminders of God’s great love for you, as well as a brief prayer that you might come to live out of the grace you have received. You can choose to receive an email each day or to print a paper copy for your use. If you would like to sign up for either option…you can do so here.
