“Woven Through: Jesus as Temple”

Woven Through: Jesus as Temple

John 2:13-22 & Ezra 3:8-13

The temple was meant to be a symbol that mirrored the wider world and reminded God’s people that God’s presence is everywhere. Jesus joins a long line of prophets who find the temple clouding the vision of God’s presence that it was supposed to reveal. So, Jesus cleanses the temple and reveals that the purpose of the temple is fully realized in Jesus’ body. Jesus is the temple!

The New Development Corp. plans to partner with Trinity again next tax season to help folks access resources by completing their income tax returns. Are you interested in volunteering?
Sandy, from the New Development Corp, is asking Trinity to provide three volunteers (intake/greeter, setup/teardown, or tax preparer). Training takes place in January but Sandy hopes to assemble a team by October. She especially would like someone from Trinity who can help set up, teardown, and move equipment on Wednesdays and Saturdays (mid January through early April). Email sandy@newdevelopmentcorp.org to volunteer.
